The meadow is a 1000 square metre embankment in the Rogerstone Welfare Grounds which was cleared, harrowed and sowed with EM03 Emorsgate wildflower seed mix in 2020. The meadow is dominated by Oxeye Daisy, Black Knapweed and Wild Carrot with Ragged Robin and Red Campion being the first to flower in the Spring. In the Summer, the meadow is full of bees and butterflies. The funding from the citizen panel covers annual strimming but all arisings have to be raked by hand.
